Join us on the pontoon
SaltFree meet all year round so freedivers can train together on our purpose-built platform at the NDAC, near Chepstow. The largest freedive platform in world, our facilities include two counterweighted lines, sonar fishfinder freedive tracking on our main line, two further training lines that can all be set to your target depth, loads of space to stretch or sunbathe, a ladder to get out of the water easily, a giant shed for all our gear, emergency oxygen, first aid kit and spares of everything you might need. We even have an underwater sculpture! His name is "Inverted Solitude".
In between diving, there are trips to the pub in Chepstow, walks in the Wye Valley, barbecues and long discussions about equalisation technique around the campfire. Or you can just come for the day and go home….
To join these meets, you must be qualified to AIDA 2 Star, SSI Level 1, PADI Freediver or equivalent – visit our Courses page if you haven’t got that yet. We’ll also check your medical and make sure your safety skills are up to date. You will need all your own kit including weights and a lanyard. We can help you with purchasing equipment if you need some advice.
To come to a meet costs £16 per day – This is payable to Saltfree Divers by PayPal or bank transfer in advance. This entry includes the NDAC fee, you wont need to pay this fee at the gate anymore. We will also be able to take card payments on the day if required.
Meet dates run regularly from April to October and more sporadically in the winter months.

Please note ALL freediving at NDAC is through Saltfree.
This means that if you are intending to do any freediving at all at NDAC, whether on the pontoon or on the "attractions", you must book in through Saltfree and attend an official meet weekend. Anyone freediving at NDAC must hold a minimum of AIDA 2 Star Freediver or PADI Freediver (or equivalent) - or be on a course with a qualified, insured instructor.
