saltfree bucketWeekend Workshops - focussed training for developing divers!

If you've done a course or two and been diving a while, chances are there's something niggling at you, something you'd like to get better at but never really have time to focus on - now is your chance!

SaltFree offer a number of 1 and 2 day workshops to focus on specific areas of freedive technique that you might want to develop. These workshops do not result in any certification but are taught by experts in the field and aim to make significant difference to that part of your diving. We'll also give you a nice shiny certificate for your wall.

Workshops available - please contact us for dates:

The Mindgame - Taught by NLP specialist Sam Kirby, The Mindgame will teach you some tricks from the world of neuro-linguistic programminghat can you help with the all important psychological side of your dive. In the morning, we'll be in the classroom trying out some techniques and getting our brains around the headgame. In the afternoon, we'll move to the pool to try it out with some Static and Dynamic Apnea practice (although the techniques can be used on all disciplines). A nice, warm day of freediving in the middle of winter to get you well set up for next year. The Mindgame runs when we have 4 people interested.

Super Safety School - Yes you buddy your partner but are you SURE you could cope if something went wobbly? Super Safety School will spice up your safety diving skills, release your inhibitions about operating the counterweight, fire you up for using an FHOF and have you whipping out the O2 blindfold in less than 10 seconds (maybe). Led by the SaltFree Instructors, this one runs over two days at Chepstow when we have four people interested. There will be plenty of chance to get some dives in too. Super Safety School costs £50 per person and you should be qualified to at least AIDA ** level with a current First Aid and CPR certificate (less than 2 years old). We'd like everyone diving with us regularly to take this one (which is why it's cheap) - you know it makes sense!

Static Apnea Masterclass - Led by UK Static Apnea Record Holder, Liv Philip, the Static Apnea Masterclass will help you get your brain and body around that most frustrating of the disciplines. We'll spend a couple of hours in the classroom looking into how to breathe, how to think, how to relax and practising some dry breath-holds before moving to the pool. Ideal for depth junkies who don't quite "get" the pool stuff as well as pool heroes currently bashing against a barrier, this workshop will run when we have a few people interested.

To sign up for any of these, drop us an email and let us know you're interested. We'd also love to hear of any ideas you have for future workshops.
