Become a Freedive Instructor!
You've completed AIDA 2, 3 and 4 Star and are now keen to teach others the skills you have developed over the years.
The AIDA Instructor is a comprehensive programme that gives you plenty of background on the theory of teaching and learning, loads of practice teaching in all kinds of simulated scenarios and also checks your own freedive skills are up to the job. The course takes around 8 days to run, depending on how many candidates we have.
To enrol in an AIDA Instructor Course you must be 18 years of age and have completed AIDA 2, 3 and 4 Star courses (or equivalent formal training). You'll also need to have completed a recognised course in First Aid and CPR (such as the EFR course we offer) in the last two years.
We run the instructor course once we have four candidates ready to take part. In the UK, this is likely to run over three long weekends at Chepstow. Abroad we have also run the course over a full week in Croatia and the Red Sea. If you are interested, please email us and let us know if you'd like to do it at home or abroad and we'll let you know if we can help. Price will depend on where the course is conducted and how many are in the group.
If you become an instructor with us, we'll also help you get some teaching experience. You'll have the option to work alongside one of our experienced instructors for a couple of courses before you head out on your own.
