Become a Freedive Instructor!
You've completed AIDA 2, 3 and 4 Star and are now keen to teach others the skills you have developed over the years.
The AIDA Instructor is a comprehensive programme that gives you plenty of background on the theory of teaching and learning, loads of practice teaching in all kinds of simulated scenarios and also checks your own freedive skills are up to the job. The course takes around 8 days to run, depending on how many candidates we have. The next course will run18-26 August 2012 at Chepstow. Email us if you're interested.
To enrol in an AIDA Instructor Course you must be 18 years of age and have completed AIDA 2, 3 and 4 Star courses (or equivalent formal training). You'll also need to have completed a recognised course in First Aid and CPR (such as the EFR course we offer) in the last two years.
The instructor course takes around 8 very full days. You'll need power, passion and enthusiasm to get through - this is a real personal challenge, and we'll do our best to make sure you achieve it. If you are interested, please email us and let us know. The price will be £875 plus your AIDA certification fee. A deposit of £200 us required to secure your place with the balance due one month before. Accommodation is available on site at Chepstow in shared cabins for about £20 a night, camping for £5 a night or local B and B for around £40 a night. You can pay by Paypal, Direct Banking or cheque. We'll accept payments in instalments as long as you are fully paid up by one month before the course.
If you become an instructor with us, we'll also help you get some teaching experience. You'll have the option to work alongside one of our experienced instructors for a couple of courses before you head out on your own.
